| el’DeSab – 17th May 2013 |
Our band was founded to pass the final exam, so we never planned to organize this band. Even we consolidated by roll number in our class, XI IPS 3 SMAN
2 Bojonegoro. Yup, it was because the first letter of our name was
close together, there are Dwiga
Ryadina Lorashinta (Lora) as bassist; Me, Elisma Herdinawati as the drummer; Erviyani Hertanti Panjaitan (Tanti)
as a vocalist; Fatma Yuliani as keyboardist and Franky Son Allen (Eng) as a guitarist. All of us are beginners
except Tanti (she is a church singer) and Eng (he was a cool guitarist in his real
band, called Majestic). El’deSab was short for “Eng Lanang Dewe Sak Band”-Javanese. (Eng,
the one and only boy in this band). He called our band with that name and we just agreed because he was the leader of this band. Here’s the logo of our band
which made by Eng too. Is eng more likely to be in the Illuminati? Because he created our logo just like an ambigram, lol.

At that
time, we learned and practiced twice a week for two months in a music studio
or Art Laboratory in our school. Then we performed on 17th May 2013
in the school lobby. We only performed one song which composed by Eng, which was Antara Ada dan Tiada, an original song
by Utopia Band.
Personally, as amateur drummer, I was a little bit nervous because I’m the one who leads the rhythm. So I don’t want to talk about how to be an expert drummer here. As the leader of rhythm, if I’m too eager or too pathetic, my friend must be overwhelmed to adjust it. Then, I had to kept my emotion so that the rhythm steady. At first, our performance worked out very well. I saw the audience begin to exited and sing a song together. Eventually in the middle of the song, the hi-hat had moving away from me. I tried to reach it but my left leg isn’t that long enough.
Luckily, there was my friend, Iwan, who helped me to fix it. He moved it slowly until my left leg can reach hi-hat again. I’m a little freaked out but we can work this out just fine. Thank God, I didn’t ruin everything. I was so relieved.
