Anda Pikir saya Peduli dengan Judul Tulisan ini “Ulasan Buku The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” Sementara Isinya Justru Berbahasa Inggris?

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A wise man, James Deacon, once said that what we see depends not only on what we look at but also, on where we look from. I have learned that my life and this f*cking world are just about perspective and I have just realized it after I finish this book. All this time I thought that I have been living as harmoniously as possible. But when I reached on the eleventh page, I felt I had got hard slap on the right and left cheek. I try my best to avoid failure, become popular, get praise, do lots of stupid things that will only satisfy my ego for a moment. This book made me realized that those things would only make my ego become obese, increasingly bulging and undermined my psychological health. The failure is in front of our nose to deal with it. It is ok not to be ok. It is a normal thing. Popularity and get praise are just like addictive substances that will only make us addicted and if we don’t get these, we will sack. Those two things are out of our control. So I learned not to think about things that I couldn’t control. I think this book is not toxic positivity, but it teaches us to think minimally by providing logical explanations. I read this book in the Indonesian version and maybe the English version is better. I am a little bit not comfortable with the words used and the style of language. This book has been translated into a language that is a little strange. But overall, this book has brought me to see the world from a different side and an unusual perspective.
